Tournament:

The Myrtle Beach Tournament(www.seniorsoftball.org)

Date:

March 30 - April 1, 2012, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Players will have access to the synthetic fields on Wednesday and Thursday for practice and possible practice games.)

Location:

6 Grand Park Fields at Market Commons Fields(Old Air Force Base) and 4 Fields at the Carolina Forest Complex

Teams:

It is estimated that 50 teams from the USA will be attending to compete in The Myrtle Beach Tournament in their division this year.  The six (6) synthetic turf fields will be used each day of the tournament. (and available on Wednesday and Thursday for practice.)

Ticket Prices: Admission to all venues is FREE.
 

Parking

No charge for parking, adequate parking is available at the parks.

Managers Meeting:

The manager's meeting will be at the Sand Dunes 74th Ave N., Myrtle Beach, SC at 7:00pm on Thursday, March 29.  Managers check-in and receive tournament materials.  

Team Check-in:

During preliminary play at the ball park, senior men's teams check-in together. Player photo ID's (drivers license) are needed for the team check-in.

Tournament Seeding:

The tournament staff will place the teams in brackets and prepare the preliminary schedule which will be posted on the website approximately three days prior to the tournament. The preliminary game record will be used to seed your team into the double elimination finals. The exact format will depend on the number of teams in each division.

First Game: March 30, the games may begin at 8:30AM on Friday.  Most divisions will end on Sunday afternoon and the Awards Ceremony will immediately follow the final game.

Deadline:

Complete Online Entry and mail Entry Fee to the ISSA Office  (exceptions only for the benefit of the tournament, still taking teams in most divisions until March 16)

Rosters Due: The ISSA Roster Form should be submitted by March 16 (roster must be turned in at or before the  Managers Meeting or the Team Check-in with original player signatures.  Players arriving late can sign at the check-in or prior to their first game.)  This tournament will be played by 2012 ISSA Playing Rules. 

Divisions of Play:

Teams will be placed in skill level divisions based on their ISSA Rating and verified by the tournament staff. 

Fees:

The entry fee for all classifications is $400.00.

Souvenirs:

T-shirts and other apparel may be for sale at the park.

Berths: Division winners receive a berth in the 2013 WTOC at Tampa, FL.  All teams that participate in all three of the ISSA Spring Trail events (this one plus Burlington, NC and Columbus, GA) will receive a paid berth in the ISF Senior World Cup at Salem, VA.
