Tournament:

2015 Great Smoky Mountain Senior Classic

Date:

June 5-7, 2015 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

Location:

Maryville, TN at Everett Park and Sandy Springs Park and in Knoxville, TN at Caswell Park and Knox County Softball Complex.

Teams:

It is estimated that 50 to 72 teams from throughout the United States will be attending to compete for the "Smoky" championships in their division.  As planned, the 50+ Divisions will play at Maryville.  All other Divisions will play in Knoxville at Caswell Park and Knox County Softball Complex.   

Ticket Prices: Admission to all venues is FREE.
 

Parking

No charge for parking, adequate parking is available at the parks.

Managers Meeting: A manager's meeting may be held on Thursday night, June 4, 2014 at 7:30PM at a site TBD. 

Team Check-in:

Friday during preliminary play at the ball park, senior men's teams check-in together. A valid government photo ID (drivers license) is needed to check-in.  

Tournament Seeding:

The tournament staff will place the teams in brackets and prepare the preliminary schedule which will be posted on the website approximately three days prior to the tournament. The preliminary game record will be used to seed your team into the double elimination finals. The exact format will depend on the number of teams in each division.

First Game: Pool play games for ages will begin Friday morning Most divisions will end on Sunday afternoon and the Awards Ceremony will immediately follow the final game. (Some smaller divisions could conclude on Saturday)

Entry Deadline:  May 15, 2015
(Exceptions only for the benefit of the tournament)

Rosters Due: The ISSA Roster Form must be submitted by May 15 (can be unsigned).  Signed Roster must be turned in at the Managers Meeting or ID Check-in with original player signatures.  Players arriving late can sign at the check-in or prior to their first game provided their name was on the roster.
 

Divisions of Play:

Teams will be placed in age/skill level divisions using their ISSA Rating and verified by the tournament staff. Divisions could be combined if necessary.  It is the tournament staff's desire to provide all teams with a competitive experience resulting in a quality tournament experience. 

Fees:

The entry fee for all Men's Senior classifications is $450.00.  Make checks payable to ISSA and mail to the Tournament Director by the deadline.
